In Our Own Voice Program Leader Training
In Our Own Voice Program Leader Training
Join us for a free, one-day volunteer training to become a certified presenter of NAMI In Our Own Voice.
This training is designed for individuals with lived experience of a mental health condition who want to share their personal stories in a meaningful way. You’ll learn how to speak confidently about your journey, highlight hope and recovery, and deliver engaging 45–90 minute presentations that reduce stigma and educate audiences across the Borderland. It’s a powerful volunteer opportunity to give back, grow as a mental health advocate, and help change the way our community
understands mental health.
Future Leaders must
- be at least 18 years old
- identify as having a mental health condition(s)
- be willing to share your story
- complete prework before training
This training will be held on Saturday, August 16, from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, virtually on Zoom.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, August 6.
